Bula Fiji Tourism Exchange is an event that creates the opportunity for the Fiji tourism industry and its Pacific Island neighbours to showcase itself to invited international Buyers.

The venue for this event is at Port Denarau on Denarau Island, Nadi and is being hosted by Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa and is being held on 18/22 May 2010.

Criterias and Conditions [please read carefully]

  • Applicant must have the responsibility to negotiate contracts on behalf of the organisation they represent.
  • Applicant applying online will be notified via emailed invoice of amount to be paid together with acceptance of registration.  If you do not hear from the Secretariat 4 days after you submit your online registration, it is you must resubmit and follow-up with the Secretariat.  This emailed invoice and receipt will be taken as official documentation.
  • IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION AND PAYMENTS ARE RECEIVED BY THE SECRETARIAT.  If payment is not received within 10 days of issuance of email invoice, registration will automatically cancel out of BFTE system.
  • Seller registrations are limited and will be allocated strictly in order of receipt providing full payment is received. Registration may be accepted after 31st December providing booths are available. 
  • The Committee reserves the right to deny any application and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Cancellations will apply as follows:  Cancellation received before 19 January will be charged F$100 and refunded balance of payment.  Cancellation received after 19 January and before 19 February will receive a refund of 50%.  Cancellations received after 19 February, no refund will apply.
  • Seller biography section must not be used for notes to the Secretariat as this section is automatically transferred to our website and used for printed literature.
  • Both Buyers and Sellers must attend the briefing session at 0900 hours on Wednesday 19 May at commencement of BFTE 2010. 
  • The appointment schedule list will be handed to you when you register for BFTE at Port Denarau.
  • BFTE is available to make your accommodation arrangements only if this is required at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa the official accommodation provider and host of BFTE 2010.  Please complete the accommodation section on registration form.  [Accommodation fees at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa is F$235 per room per night - single or double occupancy, also includes full buffet breakfast and should be booked and paid through BFTE Secretariat.]
  • Name changes to badges less than 15 days prior to commencement of BFTE will incur a penalty fee of $60.
  • Booth must be manned during all business sessions.
  • Ensure that you are appropriately dressed.
  • No distribution of marketing materials outside your booth area.
  • No obstruction of walkways/aisles around the village
  • No loud noises to annoy other sellers during business sessions.
  • No smoking in the Village.
  • Ensure that any changes to electrical fittings within the booth are arranged through BFTE nominated electrician.
  • No naked flames, gases, liquid fuels or explosives are to be used in the booth.
  • Any contractor/decorator hired by the seller for their booth may access booth area only after booth numbers have been officially allocated and must be out of village by 7am Wednesday 19 May 2010.
  • No alcohol is to be served during business sessions.
  • Mobiles should be switched off when conducting appointments.
  • Unregistered personnel will not be permitted into the BFTE Village during business sessions or attend programmed functions.
  • No part of your booth display is to extend outside the roofline of your booth.

Buyer Profiles: An appointment scheduling prospectus will be compiled containing company details of all Buyers registered for BFTE 2010. The details will provide key information about each Buyer company attending which will assist you in deciding with whom you wish to meet. As a registered Seller you will receive in due course an email advising you of your access codes to the Buyer profiles online from which you must choose your 40 preferences and return before deadline stated.

Appointment Schedules: Appointments will be allocated by matching the requests of Buyers and Sellers where possible. The BFTE 2010 programme includes a maximum of 60 available slots throughout the three business session days. Priority is given to mutual appointment requests.   The appointment schedule list will be forwarded via email to primary delegates approximately 14 days prior to commencement of BFTE and is therefore important that an email address is given in your biography which will appear on the website and will enable buyers/sellers to contact you to make further appointments prior to BFTE. 

Registration Details:
1 Booth @ F$2250 VIP (includes 1 delegate). (Non-refundable if cancellation is received less than 90 days out.)

An Additional Delegate/Partner is welcome at a cost of F$790 VIP which must accompany your registration form.  Maximum of 4 Delegates per booth. (Non-refundable if cancellation is received less than 90 days prior to BFTE). Changes to registrations received after 31 January 2010, will be accepted however, we cannot guarantee these changes will be made in printed literature i.e. manual. 

The registration fee includes:

  • Booth, 3 chairs, 1 trestle table, 3-sided wall, ceiling fan, light, power point.
  • Computerised meeting scheduling system.
  • 3 Morning teas and 3 lunches during appointment session days.
  • Appointments at 15-minute each per booth
  • Final Night Drinks, Dinner and Entertainment
  • Complimentary bottled Fiji Water throughout the 3 days
